HTHGS: Retrograde Ejaculation (Written by Dr. Erika Pluhar)

 Ask Erika,
Whenever I masturbate and when I reach my climax and cum, my sperm doesn't ejaculate out at all, it just leaks out little bit at the tip or sometimes nothing comes out at all. It doesn't come out with full force like I see in the movies. But later when I go to the toilet and urinate I will see the sperm coming out. I would like to know that what is the problem and how do I solve it. I would also like to know that if in future I have sex with my girlfriend and I urinate with my sperm inside into her vagina will it cause any problem. Please help me with it. Thank You.
  Sukhcharan

Dear Sukhcharan,
Thank you for your question.  From what you describe it sounds like it may be a condition called retrograde ejaculation.  The main symptom of retrograde ejaculation is what you have described--no or very little semen is expelled from the urethra at orgasm and, instead, goes back into the bladder.  Retrograde ejaculation may be caused by prior prostate or urethral surgery, diabetes, some medications, including some drugs used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and some mood altering drugs. The condition is relatively uncommon and may occur either partially or completely. The presence of semen into the bladder is harmless; it mixes into the urine and leaves the body with normal urination.  It may, however, become a problem if a man and his partner desire to have children.

I would suggest that you visit your doctor, or, preferably, an urologist to have him or her correctly examine, diagnose, and treat your symptoms.

Good luck and thank you for your question,
Erika

Our Philosophy sex is like dancing, it changes every time. It depends on culture, atmosphere and mood. Sometimes it is done alone, with a partner or in a group. It can be fast and hard or slow and soft. Sex is a combination of non-verbal negotiation and verbal cues: a scream, a twitch of the toes, or a flush of the face. There is no one 'right' way to move, only what feels good to all those involved.
